One of the most beautiful moments of the year arrives, when the jacarandas bloom and the city turns purple.
Bs. As. has more than 19,000 specimens and I put together a tour of one of the areas where they best shine.
Av. Figueroa Alcorta is one of the corridors where this distinctive tree of Buenos Aires shines the most. The route that I propose starts at the Figueroa Alcorta bridge until Av. Sarmiento.
Flor Generalis and surroundings:
a few meters from the starting point is one of the most visited sculptures of BA. This metal work of art is a tribute to all flowers with more than 20 meters high and 18 tons of weight. A few meters away is the University of Law and Plaza Brasil, which complement the route.
Adress: Av. Pres. Figueroa Alcorta 2301
Alcorta Shopping:
It has positioned itself as the benchmark shopping center for Argentine fashion. In addition to having a gastronomic patio, a Rooftop has recently been inaugurated, ideal for having a drink and eating something delicious while enjoying the spring nights.
Adress: Jerónimo Salguero 3172
Barrio Parque:
Once you leave Alcorta shopping, I invite you to take a walk through one of the most compact areas of BA. Curved and quiet streets, surrounded by luxury mansions and a silence that disconnects (something unusual in the city of fury) is worth spending a few minutes on.
Jardín japonés:
it is the largest outside of Japan and a true oasis to enjoy at any time of the year. August is its strong month due to the blossoming of the cherry blossoms and the sakura festival. It also has an orchard and a restaurant to enjoy some of the best sushi in the city.
Adress: Av. Casares 3450
Planetario:
It is a space for the dissemination and learning of scientific and astronomical knowledge. In other words, an ideal stop if you are with guys. Don’t miss the 4k projections and interactive games. It is located in the enormous Parque 3 de Febrero, so you can take the opportunity to have a picnic, before or after visiting it.
Adress: Av. Sarmiento s/n, C1425
