SUBE Card

To get around on public transportation like buses, subways, or trains, you need to get yourself a SUBE card. You can buy it at lottery agencies, train stations, or local stores. And to top up your credit, you can do it at these same places or kiosks.

TRAVEL DATES

Check that your travel dates are not during the high season to avoid high fares. Argentina’s summer vacation season runs from December to March. And winter holidays are during the second half of July. During these dates, Buenos Aires offers a wide range of family activities, and you’ll find many children in crowded places.

GETTING AROUND IN BUENOS AIRES

“BA Cómo Llego” is the official application of Buenos Aires that helps you get around the city in the easiest way possible. It shows you how to get from one point to another using different modes of transportation: public transport, bike, or car. It also provides estimated travel times.

ECOBICI

In the city, you’ll find Ecobici, which is the shared bicycle public transportation system developed by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires. It’s an easy and eco-friendly way to get around the city. To use it, you need to download the BAEcobici app. There are many bike stations throughout the city. Along with the “BA CÓMO LLEGO” app, it shows you all the safe routes for biking in the city. Tip: In our shopping malls, you can park bikes in our parking areas for free.

TAXIS

In the city of Buenos Aires, you can use the BA TAXIS app. It connects private passengers with professional taxi drivers and allows you to request a taxi more quickly, conveniently, and safely. It’s free for both passengers and taxi drivers. You can pay in cash or with a credit card. You can estimate the fare and duration of your trip. You’ll be able to check the driver’s and vehicle’s details. You can rate your trip and see the driver’s average rating.

SUBWAY NETWORK

The subway network in Buenos Aires has 7 lines that go through various important points in the city: A, B, C, D, E, H, and P.
